Charts Next Step 2007/2010

     Duration: 60 minutes
     Format: Interactive webinar

If a picture is worth a thousand words, a good chart is worth at least two thousand. Take full advantage of Excel’s advanced charting capabilities to create persuasive, informative charts that’ll have your colleagues clamouring for your Excel expertise and your boss eyeing you for that new corner office.

Make your charts tell you more:

  • Conditionally-colour data series, axes, or backgrounds to show targets met or exceeded.
  • Shade the middle 50% of a chart to more easily visualize the high and low performers.
  • Add a target line that goes all the way across your chart, when a simple line series won’t.
  • Add data labels to a waterfall (or bridging) chart.
  • Change chart markers to images such as clouds and suns, to convey more information or add pizazz to a dashboard report.

Learn to create new and innovative chart types:

  • Put a doughnut on your dashboard.
  • Whip up a tornado chart.
  • Gain ground on project management with a Gantt chart.
  • Animate your chart: add an on-sheet scroll bar to navigate through data series.
  • Tidy up cluttered charts: plot multiple series and add buttons to jump between them.

You need to be familiar with ordinary formulas and functions such as SUM, MIN, COUNT and SUMIF.
Applies to Excel versions including 2013, 2010 and 2007.
